To get started, you'll need the following:
A computer located in a secure area, as it must remain unlocked and undisturbed during the merge process.
A Chrome web browser (Edge or Opera should also work).
Two Chrome extensions:
Follow these steps to set up and run the mass merge:
Install Extensions: Install both the SmartNXTTOOLS and Keep Awake extensions from the links provided above.
Enable Keep Awake: After installation, click the Keep Awake extension icon in your browser toolbar and select the option to keep the system awake and unlocked.
Navigate to the Duplicates Page: In RENXT, go to the Constituents section and then select the Duplicates page.
Set Merge Criteria: On the Duplicates page, configure your desired settings for the merge. You'll need to:
Set the likelihood for the duplicates you want to merge.
Check the box to delete the source constituent after the merge is complete.
Start the Process: With your criteria set, initiate the merge. The SmartNXTTOOLS extension will begin automating the process, clicking the necessary buttons just as a person would.
Leave the Computer Undisturbed: This is a crucial step. Once the merge process has started, you must leave the computer alone. Do not click anything, use it for other tasks, or allow it to be locked or disturbed. The process can take a long time, especially for thousands of records, so it's essential to let it run uninterrupted.
This tool is provided for free and automates the merging process by simulating manual clicks.
While it can merge thousands of records, it's a long-term process that requires minimal setup but a lot of hands-off time.
The SmartNXTTOOLS extension includes SmartPASTE and SmartDUPLICATES features to streamline your work in RENXT.
Ensure the computer is in a secure location and dedicated to this task during the entire merge period to avoid any interruptions.
