SmartSYNC: Sample flow imports - get up and running even quicker

SmartTHING can provide template flows for most application integrations. These are flows set up in a 'good' way by the SmartTHING team and encompass the most common configuration of integrations between the apps. Users can import these flows and then connect them to their own application accounts i.e. their Mailchimp account. From that point the flows can be used or edited further but at least they give you a good starting point.

To import a flow you would follow the below process.

Set up your SmartSYNC account

If you have not already set up SmartSYNC you will need to do a bit of one-off configuration as below.

  1. Get your SmartTHING licence details and your 'flow import' code by contacting the SmartTHING support team: support@smartthing.org
  1. If you do not already have a SmartSYNC account please register a new account here: https://smartsync.org
  1. Get your Raiser's Edge admins to add the SmartSYNC app to Raiser's Edge:
  1. Log in to RE NXT https://host.nxt.blackbaud.com/connected-apps as a Raiser's Edge (RE) admin
  2. Go to Control Panel > Applications (if you can't see this you are not a RE admin)
  3. Select the 'SmartSYNC' application Click 'Connect'

    Importing a flow
    1. Log into your SmartSYNC account at http://smartsync.org/
    1. Click 'Import a flow' to import the template flow that SmartTHING have provided. This is a simple copy and paste job, copy the text from the support email and paste it into the 'Flow information' box, then click 'Import'

    1. Repeat the import process for all the flows that have been provided to you.
At this point the flows are in your SmartSYNC account but not connected to your applications. To connect them you need to:
    1. Edit each flow and for each step of that flow click Edit and then the 'Edit Test' button
    1. This will cause the connection to be tested, if not connected it will pop up the connection prompts for you to complete i.e.
