SmartMAILCHIMP: Set up, SmartTHING can do it for you!!

Which approach should I take?

SmartMAILCHIMP can be set up yourself within the SmartSYNC product OR you can have SmartTHING can set it up for you. 

If SmartTHING set the product up for you we will configure it in exactly the right way, up and running from the first minute. We will also monitor it as it goes live to ensure everything is flowing as it should and advise you on additional features you may wish to use. All you need to do to allow us to do this is outlined below.

What do I need to do to enable SmartTHING to set up SmartMAILCHIMP?

For SmartTHING to be able to hook up Mailchimp and Raiser's Edge NXT using SmartSYNC on your behalf we would need temporary access to your Mailchimp and Raiser's Edge NXT accounts. If your organisation would like us to sign an NDA we are more than happy to do so - just send the NDA to support@smartthing.co.uk

To provide us with access:
  1. Mailchimp: Please follow the 'Invite a user' step here to invite warren@smartthing.co.uk.
  2. and Raiser's Edge NXT: Please invite warren@smartthing.co.uk to your Raiser's Edge NXT environment. You may need your RE NXT admin to do this but in any case the process is outlined here: https://kb.blackbaud.com/articles/Article/121155#NoBBID-NoRE7User
Provide us with information:
  1. We need to know which Mailchimp list(s) you want to sync, if you have more than one?
  2. What consent records you wish to create if someone subscribes/unsubscribes etc. Channel, Category and Source preferably.
  3. An idea of what you would like to happen with invalid email addresses. Would you like to delete the email address completely, add a 'no email' flag or leave the email 'as is'.
