SmartIMPORT: Working with web forms and applications that support webhooks
There are tons of applications and web form systems that support webhooks. If in doubt contact your provider to see if they confirm they support webhooks or Google for the answer. If they do then great news - SmartIMPORT can be used to pull that data into your CRM.
There are few additional steps involved in the process to enable this though:
- Log in to SmartSYNC.
- Click the 'Data' button.
- Create a new spreadsheet (of type Data):

- Click the 'Webhook' tool bar icon:

- Click 'Enable webhooks':

- The Webhook URL will be shown - click on it to copy the link:

- Go to your application or web form system and enter the webhook URL as needed.
- Send in a test, so use your application or web form to send in some data. You can check it has worked within SmartSYNC by reloading the spreadsheet. You should see one row for each of the tests you have sent in. The spreadsheet column names will have updated to match your incoming data too.
- Finally, set up a new SmartIMPORT application that uses the spreadsheet. All the fields available to you should now be shown. If any are missing try sending in more test data with the additional information included and then reload the SmartIMPORT to see the additional fields.
