To use SmartDONATE on your Content Management System (CMS) i.e. a page outside of Blackbaud NetCommunity (BBNC), you must be able to do one of the following:
- You must know how to edit a page in your CMS and how to add content with SCRIPT, HTML and STYLE tags to the page. Most content management systems support adding these tags as it is a standard method of adding features to a website:
- We provide a sample widget that you can then use.
- Alternatively, we can design you a bespoke widget which is a service we can quote for given your requirements.
- Or, have your website design team create a widget within your website that links to the donation page in BBNC.
The widgets build a link from your site to the SmartDONATE page with parameters such as &amount=... and &appeal=... etc. These parameters enable SmartDONATE to automatically select your user's donation amount, appeal, and other donation form fields.
