A few frequently asked questions about our call handler software for Online Express
Trial
To trial the product you will need:
- Online Express - this is free from Blackbaud
- Raiser's Edge NXT - even if you have NXT but are not fully utilising it currently.
We will then provide you with a 30 day free trial of the software.

What features does the product have?

Security
In terms of access to the product: SmartCALLHANDLER is added to your website pages just like you add OLX forms. It uses a very similar tech, a code snippet that you paste onto your page. If you can add OLX forms to a web page then you can add SmartCALLHANDLER to your pages in otherwords.
In terms of user security, this is two fold: Firstly you place the tool on your web pages so you can secure them using your website systems whatever they are i.e. put it on an unguessable url such as
http://mysite.com/sdkfjhjkh4w35yu3245 and if your CMS provides password restricted pages (like Wordpress for instance) you could add a password to the page. Beyond this though there is a second security layer, the user (call handler) has to authorize the connection to RE NXT so must have a valid RENXT login. This login can be shared between call handlers or specific to each call handler - your decision there. The RENXT user used only needs rights to read information from the database.
Updating user details
Currently the call handler can update details in RE of the person calling in but that must also be in conjunction with a donation. We are looking at using the new RE processing options that SKY API allows us to provide a direct profile update without gift option but it does not currently exist.
Can we see other details about the prospective donor?
We already have some additional detail feeds possible with SmartCALLHANDLER. These fetch details beyond the basic biographical details of address, phone number etc. Provided the details are available via the Blackbaud SKY API we could include them in the call handler page for reference (such as the last 10 gifts). User limits
There is no number of users limit to SmartCALLHANDLER nor a number of instances of SmartCALLHANDLER limit provided they are all on the one website domain.
