Purchasing SmartTHING products from America (US) and paying in USD

To purchase any of our products from the US the process is as follows:
  • We send an official estimate priced in GBP. 
  • The customer (or their representative) would confirm by e-mail that they would like to go ahead with the purchase as well as:
    • Contact details for the invoice
    • Confirmation how many licences are required
    • Initial indication of how they would like to pay which can be changed later (IBAN/PayPAL/US Bank Transfer)
  • The invoice will then be sent in GBP to the agreed contact.
  • The customer would then pay using an international bank transfer, US bank transfer or PayPAL (see below for USD payments).
Notes: 
  • Although our estimates and invoices are in GBP they include links to convert at any time the GBP amount to a USD equivalent for use in budgeting. 
  • We have a W8-BEN agreement in place with the US which indicates that the client is responsible for any local taxes due at their end.

Paying in USD

The customer has a few choices to pay the invoice:
  • International Bank Transfer: The customer can pay us via our HSBC international bank account (IBAN) number
  • Alternatively, If the customer notifies us they wish to pay by one of the below methods we re-invoice with an additional £25 fee to cover payment charges that are levied on us by the payment providers:
    • PayPAL
    • US Bank account:
      • The client converts the invoice amount, at the time of payment, to the USD equivalent using the links provided in our invoice. They would then pay that USD amount and we consider the invoice fully paid irrespective of any further currency exchange rate fluctuations.
