Does viewing a profile in LinkedIn let the person know I have done so?
Tracking of actions within LinkedIn (i.e. viewing of profiles, messaging profiles, and endorsements) are handled by LinkedIn. So notifications based on 'Who's Viewed My Profile' are exactly the same as they are shown on LinkedIn. In other words SmartSOCIAL doesn't affect the 'Who's Viewed My Profile' functionality within LinkedIn.
Change what other people see when I view their profile?
You can get to your Privacy Controls screen by hovering over the small icon of your LinkedIn picture in the upper-right hand corner of your LinkedIn home page. From the Accounts & Settings drop down that appears, select the Privacy & Settings option. You’ll see the Privacy Controls screen.
Click on the 'Select what others see when you’ve viewed their profile' and select the appropriate option.
