The below is taken mainly from Blackbaud's helpdesk article for Raiser's Edge (RE) NXT applications. It covers how to enable a connector application for RE NXT that allows SmartTHING's products to retrieve or add information to RE NXT for you.
Why enable an application?
For a SmartTHING application to successfully access your RE NXT data, it must be approved by your RE NXT administrator (or tenant administrator).
Who is your tenant administrator?
For any Blackbaud customers using RE NXT, the tenant administrator is a user within their organisation. Only the tenant administrator can provide approval by activating the SmartTHING application within the Applications area of RE NXT. If you are not sure of your rights try the below instructions and if you have problems ask around for your tenant administrator.
Instructions for your tenant administrator:
To activate the application, you must complete the following steps:
- Visit the Blackbaud Marketplace website and if prompted select the environment you wish to connect
- Scroll to the application, click to view more information and then click 'Connect' in the left column. NOTE: If you only see a 'Get started' button it means you are not the tenant administrator.
For the odd few apps that are not on the marketplace list:
- Select the 'Manage' tab.
- Copy the Application ID that was provided to you by SmartTHING
- Click Connect App, paste the Application ID provided, and click 'Connect'.
Your SmartTHING application will then appear in the list of activated applications in RE NXT and your users can use the application with their SmartTHING product.
